The PAC Series



The PAC Planetary Gearhead Series is offered as an inline configuration with a caged planet carrier. Available in 4 frame sizes, the PAC series is a high performing, highly efficient unit which operates at a quiet 61 dBA/1m. The PAC series features an IP65 rated enclosure and square servo and stepper motors input 40 mm through 130 mm with optional input shaft diameters available.

The PAN Planetary Gearhead Series are equipped with a NEMA output flange and a metric shaft. Available in 5 frame sizes, the PAN series offers exceptional torque ratings, capacity, and operates at a quiet 60-67 dBA/1m. The PAN series features an IP65 rated enclosure and are available in one, two, or three stages.

The PGL Planetary Gearhead Series are equipped with a square mounting flange and is offered as an inline configuration with a caged planet carrier. Available in 7 frame sizes, the PGL series offers exceptional torque ratings, capacity, and operates at a quiet 60-75 dBA/1m. The PGL series features an IP65 rated enclosure and are available in one or two stages.

  • Frame size (mm): 42, 60, 90, 115, 142, 180, 220
  • Ratio: 3-100:1
  • Rated Input Speed (rpm): 2000-3000
  • Maximum Input Speed (rpm): 4000-6000
  • Backlash:

MGX Gearheads

MGX Gearheads

SDP/SI Inline Miniature Spur Gearheads (MGX) series are designed for use in high-accuracy servo systems and other precision devices.

  • This unique and compact gear train design provides excellent accuracy with optional patented torsional spring anti-backlash design.
  • Miniature size from 1/2” O.D. to 1-3/4” O.D.
  • Large ratios available from 5:1 to 1521:1
  • Customized solutions available with mounting adaptor plate, heavy duty gearing, special gear ratios, and near zero backlash gearing.



The MGX gearheads series was developed following the strictest requirements from the US Navy Bureau of Ordnance (Bu-Ord) for application in surface, underwater, aviation fire control, and computing and navigational systems, as well as missiles.

MGX gearheads are designed, precision manufactured and assembled in house


  • All gears are precision cut
  • Output gear and all stage pinions are made of hardened 416 Stainless Steel
  • All stage gears are made of Aluminum Bronze due to its excellent wear-in properties.
  • Housings are black anodized aluminum alloy, precision bored for precise center distances
  • Ball Bearings are Stainless Steel
  • The gearhead is attached easily and securely to the 8, 12, 17, 23, and 28 sixteenth of an inch frame size servo motor without modifications to the input pinion and without complicated adapters, screw threads, etc. by the versatile mounting clamp supplied.
  • Two input methods available: shaft to shaft as speed reducer (SR series) OR motor input pinion to geartrain (GH series).
  • Bi-directional with option for output rotation in the same direction (“S” rotation) as input or opposite rotation (“R” rotation).
