DC Brushed Motors
A brushed motor, also known as permanent magnet motor, uses brushes to convert direct current (DC) power into rotating mechanical energy. Brushed motors are made up of a stationary stator with permanent magnets and a rotating rotor with an electromagnet. Carbon brushes contact the stator, to energize the electromagnet. The speed of a brushed motor can be adjusted by changing the strength of the magnetic field or the voltage.
