Fueling the Competition

Since 1994 the Cooper Union Motorsports team of undergraduate students has been designing and building racecars. The team consists of students of different disciplines who are brought together by their passion for testing the limits of their technical skills and creativity.

Formula SAE is an intercollegiate design competition hosted by the Society of Automotive Engineers. The competition tasks student teams with designing and building formula-style racecars from the ground up. Cooper Motorsports competes annually at the Michigan FSAE event alongside 120 teams from around the world.
