SDP/SI adds a Star CNC high precision Model SR-20R IV Swiss type automatic lathe ensures an uninterrupted tool path, reducing program processing time

The machine is specially equipped with a 12’ bar feeder to perform complex machining functions. The 27-position tool station can accommodate up to 41 tools to yield a variety of tooling options and ensures an easy and flexible tooling layout. This new bar machining center has a capacity range of up to 20 mm (.79") in diameter.

The included Star Motion Control System ensures an uninterrupted tool path, reducing program processing time. The sub spindle employs a spindle motor with output power equivalent to that of the main spindle to ensure improved results. In addition, the power-driven attachment motor for cross milling and backworking has improved output horsepower.
