An expanded series of 112 metric socket head cap screws intended for high strength compact design applications for both instrumentation and machinery use have been introduced by Stock Drive Products. They feature controlled concentricity between the fastener head and body.

The screws, known as the MD0912MQB and MD0912MXO series are offered in both grade 12.9, black oxide high tensile steel, and type 304 stainless steel; and feature controlled concentricity between head and body. The pitch diameter and thread fit are checked on functional and pure pitch dimension gauges to ensure consistent quality control. The MD0912MQBM series are also available in a dry molybdenum disulfide coated version, ideal for use on aluminum where repeated tightening and loosening tend to gall the threaded hole.

They conform to DIN standard 912 and are stocked for off-the-shelf delivery in thread sizes Ml.6, M2, M2.5, M3, M4, M5, M6 and M8. Lengths range from 3 to 70 mm. Prices start at just $11.70 per 100 pcs. for M4 cap screws, 8 mm long.
