A new series of precision 48 normal pitch helical gears manufactured by Sterling Instrument (An ISO 9001:2000+AS9100B Manufactuer) are produced to AGMA Quality 10 specs and are stocked in both 303 stainless steel and 2024 anodized aluminum. These 20° pressure angle gears, identified as the S1R86Z- Series, have a 45° helical angle and are stocked in both right- and left-hand types. They are stocked in 3/16" face widths and are designed to fit shafts that are 1/4" in diameter. They are produced in a range of sizes from 0.631" to 2.987" in diameter and from 20 through 100 teeth. They are fastened to the shaft by a #6-32 set screw which is supplied. A subdrill hole is provided for pinning purposes.
